The Clarence B. Jones Impact Award honors the game-changing effects of smart, strategic communications. It is given annually by The Communications Network to a social sector individual, team, or organization whose work best represents the extraordinary impact of our craft.
Our Mission
We aim to showcase the best of social sector communications. Why? To create evidence that communications professionals in our field can use to make the case for investing more deeply in strategic communications. By celebrating impact, we hope to offer models that those working in communications for good can use to create winning strategies of their own.

About Dr. Clarence B. Jones
Dr. Clarence B. Jones is a communications hero and self-described “old lion” of the Civil Rights Movement. He served as political advisor, counsel, and draft speechwriter for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and was also a successful attorney, entrepreneur, and investment banker. Currently affiliated with the University of San Francisco and Stanford, he continues to educate and inspire, as well as write and speak widely. His entire career has been about impact.
